Just days after the death of Eunice Shriver, Ted Kennedy has passed away.
The 77 year-old senator from Massachussetts lost his battle with brain cancer next to his family in Hyannis Port.
Sadly, the “Liberal Lion,” who spent much of his political life trying reform American health care, never got to see the health care promises made by the Obama administration.
The Kennedy family released a statement on Tuesday night:
“”We’ve lost the irreplaceable center of our family and joyous light in our lives, but the inspiration of his faith, optimism, and perseverance will live on in our hearts forever. We thank everyone who gave him care and support over this last year, and everyone who stood with him for so many years in his tireless march for progress toward justice, fairness and opportunity for all.”
RIP Ted. You will be missed.
