Bai Ling’s ‘Innocent Mistake’

Bai Ling, who was arrested for stealing a pack of batteries and 2 Star Magazines at LAX on Feb. 13 has been formally charged with petty theft.

The Chinese actress, who claims it was an “innocent mistake,” will be charged a $250 fine. What really gets me about this is how this woman cannot afford to pay for $16.22 worth of merchandise! Surely someone who has made a couple of films can afford to pay at least that much. Geeze. I guess once you hit some sort of fame in Hollywood and get designer duds literally thrown at you and high-end fashion designers begging you to wear their stuff and flaunt their diamond creations, you expect to get everything else in life for free.
