An Earthquake shook Los Angeles this afternoon! Around 12 noon pacific, a magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck just 2 miles from Chino Hills, just east of Los Angeles.
A 5.8 is classified by the USGS as being moderate, which will generally cause little to no damage.
Lasting for about 20 seconds, the earthquake was strong enough to make our building do a lil’ shakin. But not strong enough to damage anything.
An estimate between 500 to 800 of these moderate earthquakes happen per year.
