MTV has confirmed that Britney Spears will open up the VMA’s for the second year in a row. Last year’s performance was an unforgettable disaster, but the star has decided to face the music and appear at this years show.
Unfortunately Britney will not be singing at the show, but MTV described her appearance to be something “fun and unexpected” to open the show.
In a statement released by Spears, she said;
“MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs? I’m excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated.”
The VMA’s is Sunday at 9pm ET, and if Spears is opening the show, It will likely be dull by 9:03pm…..Totally kidding, Rihanna, T.I., Lil’ Wayne, Kid Rock, and those loser Disney brothers will be performing, along with an appearance by Michael Phelps!
