Sarah Palin is this months Michael Phelps. Since her selection by John McCain as his running mate, she has no doubt overtaken Barack Obama as “the biggest celebrity” in this election.
Her acceptance speech at the RNC generated 32 million viewers, and her only other two interviews with Katie Couric and Charles GIbson have been a big hit as well.
It’s also anticipated that her Vice Presidential debate against Senator Joe Biden this Thursday may also pull in more viewers than the 57 million who watched John McCain debate Barack Obama last Friday night.
But it doesn’t stop there! The likeness of her character as portrayed by Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live is giving a show that has for the most part lost it’s flair a huge boost in the ratings department!
This past Saturdays’ episode which featured Fey as Palin in a spoof of her Katie Couric interview won the overall ratings for all of Saturday, and was up an astonishing 46% from the same episode last season, when most people didn’t even know anyone by the name of Sarah Palin.
Love her or hate her, She’s everywhere, for the next 37 days, and maybe longer.
