Billy Ray Cyrus is the kinda dad that I’m going to be. For your daughters sweet sixteen, you don’t buy her some girly shit that you can’t use yourself, (unless its a hair straightener) you buy her something that you can play with when she’s out making all of the families money.
For Miley’s sweet sixteen, she didn’t get a car as expected. She probably opted to not get the car so she could ride her little beach cruiser over to the dealership and buy herself a ride with her own money, that way her parents can’t say no to any options she feels the need to ad.
Instead Miley got a recording studio from her parents.
Billy Ray told Access Hollywood the method to his madness;
“No, she didn’t want a Mercedes, she wanted a recording studio. “She just wanted a place to record there at the house. She’s been writing a lot of songs, a lot of really great material.”
But here’s where he messed up and unleashed his plans to use Miley’s studio to record the 2009 version of Achy Breaky Heart.
“It’s a great place for us to get up there and work out some tunes and sing.”
Miley disagreed with that though, saying “No one is touching it but me, they’ll ruin it.”
That’s the same thing my dad always said to me about the lawn mower, which is why I was never allowed to mow the grass as a child because I’d ruin it. Same goes for my mother and the dishes. I was never allowed to do anything to help out.
