Michael Jackson was all set to appear in a London court room today in regards to a suit filed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Khalifa, which claimed that Jackson failed to honor a $7-million-dollar contract for recordings and appearances, among other things.
MJ agreed to appear last week, but when he was getting ready to board his plane to London, his people advised him that he should just stay because a settlement “in principle” had been reached.
A Jackson spokesperson released a statement late Sunday saying;
“As Mr. Jackson was about to board his plane to London, he was advised by his legal team to postpone his travels since the parties had concluded a settlement in principle,” a London spokeswoman for Jackson said on Sunday.
“Therefore, he will not be attending court on Monday,”
Details of the settlement “in principle” have yet to be released.
