Twilight’s $70.6 million dollar weekend was the highest grossing film ever by a female director.
The film was directed by Catherine Hardwick and due to the instant success of the first film, a second film for the next book in the series titled ‘New Moon’ has already been given the green light.
Both of the films stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will headline the second film as well.
