A Very Humble Kanye West picked up two awards at the AMA’s last night, one for Favorite Rap/Hiphop Album and one for Favorite Rap/Hiphop Artist.
Kanye gladly accepted the award for the album, delivering an odd speech where he concluded that he wanted to be Elvis, but got a little more humble when it came time to accept the second award.
“I’m gonna give this award to Lil’ Wayne, this is Wayne’s year,” Kanye told the crowd before exiting the stage to prepare for his performance.
Sure, Kanye, It may have been Wayne’s year, but you agreed to come to the awards show, and Wayne didn’t. The AMA’s must not do that via satellite shit.
Kanye’s latest album, 808’s and Heartbreak, hits stores today and I must admit it’s growing on me.
