After PETA put the pressure on Donna Karan by releasing a game on the internet called Donna Karan: Bunny Butcher, the DKNY designer has decided to eliminate fur from all of her future lines.
A video educating about animals that are skinned alive for fur and narrated by Tim Gunn was sent to Karan and designer Giorgio Armani urging them to open their eyes to the violent and bloody fur industry.
Who knew Tim Gunn was such a softy!!
Armani has turned the blind eye to this video and pressure, claiming that he only uses the fur of animals killed for meat anyways.
Karan is not the first to find alternative mean for fur in fashion. Designers Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren have all stopped using it over the years as well.
I sort of wish the internet was made out of dead animals, so that PETA couldn’t use it. I did come across this website though, sort of makes you go “hmmmmm?”
