It will surely be business as usual in 2009 for people like Will Smith, Angelina Jolie, the Seth Rogen gang, and every other box office guarantee, but it won’t be the case for every actor or actress.
As studios look to make cutbacks in 2009 in the form of less promotions, (except dreamworks) or less movies, Some of the old time stars who have lost their flare might be forced to lower their asking price if they want to work on a project.
We’re talking about the Jodie Foster’s, and the Eddie Murphy’s here. Sure they’ve had fabulous careers, but recent box office flops are ruining their worth in tough economic times.
The one good that might come of this is less crappy movies at the theater. We shall see.
