It was already reported Hugh Hefner was going to be paying Aubrey O’day a hefty sum for an appearance in the mens magazine, and now she’s confirming it, by telling the tale of the shoot!
O’day tells UsMagazine, “I’m honored to be a part of the Playboy legacy and look forward to my March cover hitting newsstands on February 13.”
But the Aubrey O’day Playboy promotional tour didn’t stop there, Ms. O’day spoke with MTV as well, feeding them some bull about the female empowerment of being naked.
“You could never imagine how empowering it is to be nude in front of cameras and have people looking at you in that way and seeing you as beautiful. A lot of the times I think I’m seen as a bad girl and I think that’s because I’m so open. I mean, I think a lot of the type of way I’m portrayed in the media isn’t always the way … the way I am in my heart. And so I think that we were able to capture that. … I think in society we tend to put ourselves in boxes and corners and restrict ourselves, and we constantly feel the need to not say this or not wear this or do that.”
There must be some sort of a nice pay off for the ammount of mags sold, because I’ve never seen someone promote an issue of Playboy like this.
It’s going to be a tough month for Aubrey as well. Her Playboy debut follows the February special three cover Girls Next Door farewell edition.
Playboy fans are going to be ponying up for three issues this month, are they gonna wanna spend money on O’day next?
