Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail brought in the most box office bucks this Oscar weekend, and you’d be surprised that the numbers were actually pretty impressive!
It felt like one of those weeks where barely anything new came out, of course because all of the weekends movie focus was on 2008’s top blockbusters, but Madea managed to rope in $44 million total, which was way ahead of the competition.
Coming in second was Taken, which has been out for a couple of weeks and brought in around $11.4-million , and bringing up the rear in third was the animated film Coraline, which brought in $11-million even.
