He just inked a 9 picture deal with Marvel to play the role of Nick Fury in 9 super hero pictures, but first Samuel L. Jackson is going to be taking a little more low key independent role that will surely stir up some controversy.
According to Variety, Jackson will star in the big screen adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates’ 2003 book, Rape: A Love Story.
Jackson will play a sympathetic cop who stars alongside Abigal Breslin and Maria Bello. Jackson will offer comfort to Breslin’s character and her mother (Bello) who was just the victim of a gang rape.
Sounds like this movie will be serious business.
