Dancing With the Stars premiered last night, and they can likely expect decent ratings due to the fact Gossip Girl is off at the moment, but aside from the fact they really got a bunch of nobodies to do the show this season, it wasn’t so bad.
Two time DWTS champ (hot) Cheryl Burke and Sex and the City’s Gilles Marini (who WAS injured) separated the men from the boys last night as they danced to a high score of 24, usually unseen on the premiere night.
Holly Madison and The Bachelor reject were last minute fill in’s who barely had any time to rehearse, but still lived up to the show standards for the most part.
People like Apple founder Steve Wozniak are likely to stick around due to their comic relief (think Jerry Springer and the guy from Cheers) and Lawrence Taylor will live to see another day because he’s got the sports backing.
Z-List nobodies who take this competition so seriously that it makes them cry like Denise Richards better watch out because the wont be around too long.
Everyone is safe this week though, and will at least dance one more dance next Monday before the results next Tuesday.
Unfortch for DWTS, or at least for the stars hoping to redeem themselves with a great dance next time, Gossip Girl is back next week, so if they dance in the first hour of the show, they may not be seen.
Like I previously commented……it’s in the bag and that’s only bad luck if you say early before a football game. Cheryl Burke and partner are the best.
