Oprah broke down Rihanna’s situation yesterday on her domestic violence special.
The big O is trying to get the message out to girls everywhere that it’s not okay to be with a man who hits you.
In the case of Rihanna, who pretty much went running back to Chris Brown after the brutal assault he put on her on February 9th, Winfrey believes that it’s a case of low self esteem for the singer.
She says, “Let me tell you why she (Rihanna) got back with him (Brown). If you go back with a man who hits you, it is because you don’t feel worthy of being with a man who doesn’t hit you. If you think you are a wonderful person, somebody hitting you is really offensive to you.”
An Atlanta producer just recently confirmed that Rihanna and Brown were in the studio recording a duet with one another.
Comedian Roseanne Barr has a more forward explanation for the whole thing. She says, “Her publicists and agents and lawyers and producers are all telling her not to risk she and brown’s tandem endorsements (they don’t care if she lives or dies, as long as they get their money). She is being played and used and isolated from her father. Her greed and her participation in violence, plus not wanting to cross Diddy, who wants her to put her life on the line, are powerful lures to stay in hell with a monster.”
Why isn’t Rihanna listening to these celebs voices of reason? Maybe Roseanne is right!
It’s also being reported that Rihanna is trying to get out of testifying in court, and both her lawyer and Brown’s lawyer have asked the judge in agreement to keep her out of it. They say with all the info that has leaked, she’s just
