Justin Timberlake’s last CD, Future Sex Love Sounds, was released in 2006 and is probably one of those discs you still listen to in 09 without getting sick of.
So why hasn’t the heir apparent to Michael Jackson’s pop throne released anything new in the past three years besides some collaborations?
Mr. JT tells the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly;
“Right now, I like the idea that things can just kind of pop up and if they feel right I can do them. Committing to my own sort of project, that’s like, ‘Okay, let me block out two years of my life and do it.’
“I was heavily fulfilled with the last one and I always have this thing with myself that if I can’t sleep because I need to do it, then I’m gonna do it. But if I’m not losing sleep over it then.”
What artist wouldn’t like to be able to do things on their own terms without the pressure of labels and studios rushing them in?
