Apparently an ill advised contract from last November might cause the cancellation Michael Jackson’s sold out 50 show residency at London’s O2 Arena that starts this summer.
Last November, Michael Jackson’s manager reportedly signed a contract that stated Michael would tour with his sister, Janet, and the rest of the brothers as a sort of family tour.
That plan had originally fell through, but apparently the fact Michael Jackson’s manager signend the contract, perhaps even without the knowledge of Jackson could prevent the London shows from going on under a stipulation that stated Michael would not be to perform any concert within 18 months of the said contract date.
The company originally planning the family tour has issued a cease and desist letter for Jacko’s O2 residency.
Surely the bigwigs at AEG will take care of this in a jiff, but with proof that Michael Jackson can sell out 50 dates at one speficic place in a matter of minutes, might make this other company play hardball.
