Yes, the music biz wasn’t working out, so Jessica Simpson will be returning to television for a new reality series.
No, it won’t be the dumb fest that was Newlyweds, but instead a show where Simpson will try and show off her cultural side.
The Price of Beauty will premiere in 2010 on VH1 and follow Jessica as she travels around the world meeting real women, as she studies the local fashions, dietary trends, and beauty regimens.
In a recent statement about the series, Simpson claims; “I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect. I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful. I know we will all learn a lot on this journey and I am so excited that VH1 is coming along on what I’m sure will be a wild ride.”
The series will start shooting this July with Jessica and Papa Joe as the executive producers.
Should be a real joy….
