Maybe it’s the fact that Twitter only allows 140 characters, but Pete Wentz sent Fall Out Boy fans into a frenzy when he “tweeted” that their current album just may be their last.
Writes Pete when asked if another FOB album can be expected next year; “I’m not sure. This may be the swan song. But we might have another in us. We’ll see.”
So has FOB been discussing a breakup? Not exactly.
Pete later explained that the band doesn’t write new material “just to write it,” but rather they write only when it’s time to write.
He then answered to MTV.com; “No, we’re not calling it quits, but [we’ve got] no future album plans right now. We can’t quit, we’re waiting to get fired.”
The band is ready to head out on a summer tour with newly reunited Blink 182 and Pete insists that when they do decide to hang it up the fans will be the first to know.
