Paula Abdul is pretty optimistic about her return to American Idol next season, though her contract is now expired.
Though there’s alway rumors of her actual worth on the show, and if the producers will want to bring her back or go with a new judge who has more knowledge and the balls to criticize, it was proven during last season with the addition of Kara Dioguardi that Abdul was indeed an asset to the show.
Dioguardi will be the lucky one if they decide to bring her back next season.
Apparently her wack ass performance as the new judge on the shoe even got Abdul an offer to stay as long as the show runs.
She tells the AP in a recent interview; “I’ve been invited to stay the duration of the show, however long it lasts.”
It wont come cheap for AI though, she says her return will depend on negotiations and a new deal.
She won’t be making Cowell money, but i’d bet she won’t settle for anything less than a pretty big raise.
