Bruno is on pace to top the box office this weekend, as well as becoming Sacha Baron Cohen’s highest grossing debut for one of his solo movies.
The film about the gay Austrian fashion designer pulled in 14.4 million on Friday alone, ahead of it’s competitor, I Love You, Beth Cooper.
Baron Cohen’s Borat in 2006 brought in 26 million, so all he needs is a solid Saturday/Sunday to beat his previous best.
