Madonna returned to Marseille this weekend to comfort relatives of the workers who died during her Sticky & Sweet stage collapse.
Clad in black and with her hair pulled back, the distraught singer landed at Marseille-Marignane airport with her two adopted children, manager Guy O’Seary, driver and bodyguards.
Madonna met with the French family of 52 year-old slain construction employee Charles Criscenzo, who died along with a 23 year-old Briton worker when the singer’s stage collapsed.
Madonna will also travel to two Marseille hospitals to see three more injured, including an American worker who is said to be in a “serious” condition.
Meanwhile, French prosecutors are looking into how the accident happened, an investigation that could lead to manslaughter charges.
