Shanna Moakler thought the headache that was Carrie Prejean was over when she resigned as one of the heads of the Miss California USA organization following the debacle that was Miss USA 2009, but it’s only just begun!
Back in June, Prejean was fired by Miss California USA on the grounds of missing scheduled appearances, but her team is claiming that she was de-throned unfairly because of her anti-gay answer to her question from Perez Hilton in the actual Pageant.
Prejean has filed suit against Moakler and two other Miss Cali officials on the grounds of libel and slander, but if I had to put money on it I bet those lawsuits hit the paper shredder faster than you can say banana.
Mel Avanzado, attorney for Ms. Moakler released the following statement;
“On Ms. Moakler’s behalf, I can say unequivocally that Ms. Prejean’s lawsuit is without merit,”
“More importantly, as everyone who watched or read her public statements is well aware, Ms. Prejean’s unfortunate and bigoted statements are responsible for any public humiliation or damages to her reputation that she has claimed to have suffered. “Ms. Moakler strenuously denies that she did anything wrong and looks forward to proving that in a court of law.”
Does Carrie not recall missing out on contractual obligations to hit the talk show circuit? How did she even win in the first place? She’s clueless!
I hope she wins the Lawsuit, she should definately file suit agains Perez himself for what he did to her photos on the website and what he said about her…
As to her answer to Perez, it was fine. Was he expecting her to say it was ok? Not everyone is for gay marriage so not being for it doesnt make it right or wrong. Marriage is a religious event so to me its up to the church to decide. I dont have a problem with legal gay unions. They just want to cause problems because they want it called a marriage. Legal unions give them the same rights, its just trouble making gay activists who want to force their opinions onto everyone.
She sould actually be suing Donald Trump for allowing the question in the pagent.
