If you’re not up on your Randy Quaid news (it’s hard to get good coverage without dying these days) you might not know that last year the actor was fined $81,000 dollars and banned for life from Actors Equity after all 26 cast members of a musical Randy was set to star in filed a joint complaint alleging verbally and physically abusive behavior. The show never even made it past its Seattle test run. People who love both Broadway and Randy Quaid were devastated.
After that, Randy’s wife Evi hired a private investigator, Becky Altringer, to get to the bottom of death threats she claimed she and her husband had received.
22 days later, Becky quit the case and has now filed a restrianing order against Evi, claiming that the wacked-out broad demanded she harass the actors who filed the original complaint against her husband. Becky also says Evi snorts white powder and calls it Demorol. Jeez, Evi, you didn’t need a private investigator in the first place. You probably know a few drugs dealers who would harass anyone for the right price, and you can be damn sure they won’t bother with any legal filings should things go awry.
