The 35 year-old businesswoman unveiled her hair on the season premiere of her talk show yesterday to an audience of excited fans, eager for their drag queen hero to “keep it real!” Daytime’s realest sister even proclaimed: “This is me, y’all!”
The verdict? A total sham. If you call Tyra’s “realness” gelled-down, straightened hair behind a face-full of make-up, then I guess your idea of real is a showgirl without her sequins on. And worse – Tyra hyped this episode as if she were saving Darfur, not taking off her tacky wig.
She even went as far as to say: “My hair? It’s been an unsolved mystery.”
For what, Tyra? Why we’re still watching?

This was probably the most pathetic and ridiculous bit of television I’ve ever witnessed. In this time of global warming and economic collapse, does anyone really give a f*** about Tyra Banks’s “real” hair? I mean REALLY? I sure don’t. The whole mess of a program was presented as if it were the most profound coming out story and it was BEYOND stupid, vapid, inane and a thorough waste of airtime. I love glamor as much as the next queen, but, as far as I’m concerned, this was an embarrassing offering of American TV. Just plain s-t-u-p-i-d.
