Amy Winehouse has started her own record label, and it isn’t a post-it note. It’s a legit label, apparently.
The record label is called Lioness, which was inspired by a lioness necklace her grandma gave to her (hey, it could have been called “Ugly Sweater from JC Penney”).
The first artist to appear on the label will be Dionne Bromfield, a 13 year old.
I’m a huge fan of Amy’s music, but the girl is a bit of a mess. I’m hoping there areĀ lots of people working behind the scenes and Amy doesn’t have a lot of power, except to lend her vocal skills and maybe pick the color of the curtains.
