KTLA, a local television station here in LA, used to air a bowdlerized version of Pulp Fiction. I never saw it, but I’d assume it included dialogue like, “Look, just because I wouldn’t give no man a foot massage, don’t make it right for Marsellus to throw Antwan off a building into a glass encased house ruining the way the gentleman communicates. That ain’t right, man. Reprobate do that to me, he’d better paralyze my body, ’cause I’ll kill a reprobate.”
Now you can look forward to a similarly palatable version of Inglorious Basterds on TNT. The basic cable net picked up the rights to Quentin Tarantino’s biggest hit. It’s been re-edited for middle American sensibilities, of course – the Jews lose.
