Last night, President Obama got down salsa-style with muy caliente Mexican pop singer, Thalia.
Unlike most Fiestas we’ve been to, he didn’t wake up hungover in Echo Park.
Probably sick to death of Bush’s White House music playlist, Michelle Obama has brought a new music series to The White House. ‘Fiesta Latina’ is the first event geared towards celebrating really hot latin men the wide range of ethnic music available in The U.S.
Holding their greencards Hosting the Night of Salsa were Eva Longoria Parker, George Lopez, and Jimmy Smits. Also attending the event were Gloria & Emilio Estefan, Jennifer Lopez, Mark ‘Skeletor’ Anthony, and Supreme Court Justice, Sonia Sotomayor.
Gloria Estefan and Jose Feliciano shared the stage and at one point had both the Obama girls Malia and Sasha dancing.
Jokes were flying, and according to the Associated Press, J-Lo joked that the President is really Latino, saying:
“He lives in a house that’s not his, says he’s going to change and nobody believes him. Very Latino.”
The President seemed to really enjoy the night, especially his dance with the sexy and spicy Thalia. Also according to the AP , El Presidente was overheard saying:
“It moves us, and it tends to make us move a little bit ourselves.”
We are assuming he was referring to Salsa Music, and not the spicy burritos.
The event will be broadcast on PBS, October 15 at 8 p.m, and Telemundo will re-air the event on October 18 at 6 p.m.
