A New Orleans demonstration against the incarceration of political prisoners Lil’ Wayne and Lil’ Boosie ended with a lil’ addition to the rap sheet of six participants, the Times-Picayune reports.
The men were part of larger gathering of protestors voicing their objection to the lock-up of both rappers. While neither deserves jail time for their legal transgressions (Lil’ Wayne was simply celebrating his second amendment rights and Lil’ Boosie was getting blunted, for the love of God), spraypainting “Free Lil Wayne” on the side of a building is not the correct way to get the message across. When cops tried to tell this to the men doing the spraypainting, they ran. Then they were caught and charged with disturbing the peace, resisting arrest by flight and criminal damage to property. Perhaps now they can relate their dissatisfaction to Lil’ Wayne personally.
