Good news for Roman Polanski. His controversial extradition proceedings have been postponed. Again.
The filmmaker, who has been accused of raping a 13 year-old girl over 30 years ago, has been serving hard time at a ski resort in Zurich with other hard-nosed criminals. The Swiss Government released the following statement:
“There will be nothing more this year. At the earliest, we’ll make an announcement early next year as to whether the criteria for extradition have been met.”
Please, this case is a farce! And the victim already took a pay-out from Polanski, which in our eyes, closes the case. Yes, he made a mistake, but let Polanski get back to what will really make the world a better place: making good films, and not languishing in a Swiss prison.
