I’ve got bad news for fans of Room Raiders and A Shot at Love 2 With Tila Tequila: MTV is going to produce less of the reality television you love. More bad news: you’re stupid.
Net prez Tony DiSanto has hired David Janollari as executive VP of scripted development, with a goal of eight comedy and drama pilots for the year.
MTV has already ordered 12 episodes of “Hard Times,” which follows the exploits of a teen whose life suddenly improves when schoolmates discover that he’s well-endowed; and “Warren the Ape,” a puppet-based comedy.
MTV also has already greenlit several scripted pilots, such as a new take on “Teen Wolf.”
Oh hell yeah, those all sound awesome! A rip-off of Hung with no sex, nudity or profanity, a “puppet-based comedy” from the entertainment conglomerate that brought us The Jeff Dunham Show, and a new take on Teen Wolf. The 12-year-olds who make up MTV’s entire viewership love that movie from 1985!
Please, just give whoever was responsible for 2Gether a blind script deal now. That ish was funny.
