Though it was supposed to hit the shelves on Superbowl Sunday, (strange as that may sound) Usher’s latest album is being pushed back until March 30th.
Turns out it’s Jive record who isn’t letting him release the record, titled Papers, until he hires a new manager!
Usher’s former manager, (and former mother) quit her son in late November of 09 after a fall out over Ushers new girlfriend being around all the time.
A source claims; “She walked away from the project because Usher
had his girlfriend [and former Def Jam executive] Grace Miguel all in the mix. She [Jonetta] felt as though if she didn’t end things when she did, it would permanently affect their personal relationship.”
The latest on his management sitch is that he’s planning to sign with AEG Live soon, which would resolve this whole mess. Sad thing is, you’re probably still going to have to wait until March 30th to get your dance on to the new Usher tracks.
