When Uma Thurman’s Motherhood opened last year in the us, they did a disappointing $60,000 dollars at the box office. They were hoping a UK release would be a different story.
It was. Maybe not the story they were hoping for, though.
Motherhood opened in the UK this weekend, bringing in $132.00 About 12 tickets.
On Sunday, they only sold one ticket for the film.
Producer Jane Edelbaum spoke with Britain’s The Guardian over the news; “You’re kidding? We must have broken a new record for grosses! Think about how much c**p succeeds at the cinema. ‘Motherhood’ is not bad. It’s a very decent movie. I’ve seen movies that are not half as good.”
