Will I Am from the Black Eyed Peas surprised two struggling families on The Oprah Winfrey show when he revealed that he would be paying off their mortgages!
The singer appeared alongside a family of eight, and a single mother who were on the show discussing their family struggles during the economic hard times, when Will revealed that he’d be giving them the cash they needed to survive.
The total: Around $350,000
Explaining why he’d do it, Will told Oprah; “I’m OK. I don’t dream of being mega, crazy rich; I just wanna be able to create, make music and help people. Doing this isn’t gonna leave a dent in my house… but it could help somebody that really needs it. It’s something that means a lot to me.”
Will I Am also launched his new charity program titled I.am Home, a fund to help struggling families.
