They haven’t found a replacement host for Simon Cowell yet, but they are already amending the rules for the next season of American Idol.
An Idol executive producer tells USA Today: “A lot of young, talented people are now seeking careers and representation before they turn 16. Lowering the age limit allows us to tap into this talent pool.”
With the success of Justin Bieber in the past year, and the arrival of Grayson Chance, Idol is likely looking to cash in on a young talent.
