We told you yesterday that USC would be turning over their copy of Reggie Bush’s 2005 Heisman Trophy to the Heisman Trust, after the President-elect has decided to remove all things Bush from the University, including photos and jerseys.
Now the Heisman Trust may be doing some digging of their own, and deciding whether or not to take away his award all together.
Members of the HT have previously revealed that they would consider taking the award back if Bush was ruled ineligible during the time he won the trophy, which he recently was.
In a statement released today, the trust claims:
“The Trust will be considering the issues raised in the USC/Reggie Bush matter, and after reaching a decision will publish it, but due to the complex issues involved and the Trust’s desire to reach an appropriate decision, no definitive timetable has been established,” the trust said. “Until the matter has been fully considered and a decision is reached, the Trust has no further comment.”
Don’t worry Reggie Bush, they can take your Heisman Trophy away, but they can never take away the fact that you’ve been to the promise land!
Should Reggie be stripped of his Heisman?
