They featured his song on an episode, but according to people close to True Blood, creator Alan Ball will not invite mega fan Snoop Dogg for a cameo.
It’s said he’s been hoping to score one from the beginning, but a source claims:
“Apparently Snoop has wanted to be on the show from the beginning, but I don’t think [creator] Alan Ball is going to let that happen. Having such a high-profile person appear in the show, I think it would take us all out of Bon Temps. [Alan] doesn’t need to cast Snoop Dogg to get people to watch.”
Normally we’d be against something like this anyways, because using a high profile celeb for a show like this can only take away from it’s authenticity. However, we could make an exception for Snoop in this case. He could easily play some vampire king pimp from one of the southern areas.
If they are straying off from the books, then why not?
Do you think True Blood should cast Snoop for a cameo?
