Elizabeth Smart is “Thrilled” with the guilty verdict a judge handed down to her kidnapper today in Salt Lake City.
The judge charged Brian David Mitchell with kidnapping and transporting across state lines for sexual purposes.
He will be sentenced in May 2011.
Elizabeth spoke to reporters after the verdict and said: “I’m so thrilled to be here, so thrilled with the verdict. Most of all, I stand before the people of America to give hope to other victims who have not spoken out about what has happened to them.”
Nice to see this all moving on for her!
