It’s potentially bad news for Iron Man fans!
Jon Faverau will not be directing the third Iron Man movie, as him and Marvel Studios have parted ways.
Instead, he’ll be taking his talents to Disney for their upcoming project, Magic Kingdom.
Favs tweeted: “It’s true, I’m directing Magic Kingdom, not Iron Man 3. I’ve had a great run with Marvel and wish them the best.”
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the dispute likely came over money.

Can he really leave Marvel for Disney when it is the same company?
Disney owns Marvel now, but Iron Man 3 , as well as Thor, The Avengers, and Captain America, are part of a contract with Paramount. Iron Man 3 will be the final film released with Paramount in 2012/13 Then Disney will have the rights to do 4, or reboot the franchise.
So technically he’s not leaving to go to Disney, but he sort of is since he won’t be able to make another Marvel film there until after Iron Man 3.
