The Associated Press has named Betty White the 2010 Entertainer of the Year!
White beat out the cast of Glee for the award which features the standout performers who had an influence on cluture in 2010. Rounding out the top five was Jams Cameron, Conan O’brien, and the iPod.
White’s “resurgence’ in 2010 was thanks to a facebook campaign that got her a hosting spot on Saturday Night Live. She also appeared in The Proposal alongside Sandra Bullock, and on the new TV Land hit series, Hot in Cleveland.
Of the honor Betty White explains: , “They haven’t caught on to me, and I hope they never do… It’s been phenomenal, but everybody keeps congratulating me on my resurgence and my big comeback. I haven’t been away, guys. I’ve been working steadily for the last 63 years. It’s just been a lovely year, I must admit.”
