Today’s secret word is Cable! Because Pee Wee Herman is going to be making his way back to cable (scream) in 2011!
HBO announced this week that they would be filming a performance of ‘The Pee Wee Herman’ show to play on the cable (scream) network some time next year.
The network recently re-aired the classic performance of the show from the 80’s filmed at The Roxy Theater on Sunset Blvd when Paul Reubens first debuted the character he created at the Groundlings comedy troop, but almost 30 years later he’s revived the show with a stint in downtown LA and now on Broadway.
The show runs through January 2nd at the Stephen Sondheim Theater on Broadway and HBO will film one of the final performances for the show to air at a TBD date.
