Sources close to the couple are claiming that it was Pete’s erratic behavior and partying habits that lead Ashlee to seek the split, in which she is asking for joint custody, and primary physical custody of their son.
People inside Pete’s inner circle are claiming that his behavior was not the problem, it was just that they grew apart, with her wanting to leave the entertainment business to focus on their son, and Pete stayed in the music business, which included touring the country.
Both parties are insisting that there was no cheating involved, which is great considering many celebs have split over that very thing in the past.
