Miley Cyrus is finally speaking out about the now famous video which shows the pop star smoking Salvia out of a bong with friends.
The controversy caused quite a stir when the video leaked, but it has taken Miley a couple of months to finally discuss the subject matter.
Miley Cyrus sat down with Marie Claire magazine while in New Orleans shooting her latest film, ‘So Undercover,’ and offered up this explanation.
“I’m not perfect…I made a mistake…I’m disappointed in myself for disappointing my fans…”
But when the mag asked just how big of a mistake it was, considering many college kids her age are partying in the USA by smoking out of bongs every day Miley admits;
“But they’re not Miley Cyrus. They’re not role models. So for me it was a bad decision, because of my fans and because of what I stand for.”
Many celebs do stupid things that are only stupid because of their status, even though many other people are doing them. It’s simply a case of picking the wrong friends.
It can’t be suspected it was the first mistake, and probably won’t be the last. Way to speak up about it, though!
