There’s a huge buzz of who will be joining Simon Cowell at the judges table on the new FOX singing competition, ‘The X Factor’ and Jessica Simpson is a name that is being skyrocketed to the front of the list.
Though no contracts have been offered yet, a show source is reporting to People Magazine, “there [are] loads of conversations happening at the moment,” says the source. “No one has been offered a judging role yet as new names keep coming forward who want the role, but there are some frontrunners and it’s fair to say Jessica is one of them. She’s very keen.”
While a lot of people are selfishly rooting for Paula Abdul to land the gig after her CBS dance show was canceled, some other names being thrown about are Mariah Carey, and Cheryl Cole.
Simpson might be good for the job, as you know she’s always good for some hilarious (blonde) commentary when she’s put in front of a camera. Sort of like a modern day Paula Abdul…
It was most recently announced that the winner of ‘The X Factor’ would receive the biggest prize on television to date, a five million dollar record contract. The winner of American Idol signs a one million dollar deal.
