Following an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America this morning to promote his new album, F.A.M.E, Chris Brown went on a rampage, tearing off his shirt, and smashing a window.
A source close to the incident says Brown was “visibly upset and appeared livid” when the interviewer questioned his 2009 felony assault case involving his then girlfriend, Rihanna.
“It’s not really a big deal to me now, as far as that situation. I think I’m past that in my life. Today’s the album day, so that’s what I’m focused on.”
Roberts pressed on the issue a little bit, which had Brown respond with “This album is what I want people to hear and people to really get into, so definitely this album is what I want them to talk about and not stuff that happened two years ago.”
He then performed a song from his new album, but it was after the performance where his anger kicked in. As Brown attempted to destroy his dressing room, security was summoned. The singer then took to his Twitter page to vent, with Tweets that have since been deleted. (too late)
“I’m so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t.”
He also wrote, “Thank you to everyone who supports my music!!! Key Word (music) !!! Love y’all,” as well as, “All my fans!!! This album is for you and only you!!! I’m so tired of everyone else!! Honestly!! I love team breezy!!”
ABC is defending their stance on asking the questions, claiming “as always, we ask questions that are relevant and newsworthy.”
