What a week for Lamar Odom… Kinda. His new reality show, ‘Khloe & Lamar’ is soaring in the ratings, and he was just named the NBA’s sixth man of the year, however, his LA Lakers are down 0-1 in the 7 game series with the number 7 seed New Orleans Hornets.
Career wise, all this won’t mean squat if the Lakers are bounced from the Playoffs without winning their third straight title, but for now, it’s great!
A press conference has been scheduled for 3 PM PT today, where Odom will accept the award, after a season where he averaged 14.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and three assists per game while shooting 53 percent from the field, the highest shooting mark of his 12-year career.
Quite the accomplishment after his disappointing all-star snub this February, but there’s still time to right the ship.
Odom’s wife, Khloe Kardashian tweeted on Tuesday: “Today is going to be an amazing day!!!!!!! I’m so excited!!!!!”
The Lakers will take on New Orleans in Game 2 on Wednesday night at 7PM PT from the Staples Center.
