Avril Lavigne is issuing an apology to fans of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, after she dropped an F bomb on the 24,000 fans in attendance for Saturday’s games.
During Lavigne’s performance, she was dealt some technical difficulties to which the crowd responded with a chorus of “boos.”
Upset Lavigne went on a rant saying that technical difficulties “f**king happen on a baseball field.”
Lavigne then apologized telling the crowd: “We just had so much fun tonight and we want to take the tirade out and say thank you to the Tampa Bay Rays! I’m truly sorry if anyone was offended by my language.”
On Sunday, the Rays issued a statement of their own: “The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in last night’s show.”
