Amy Winehouse’s Family Believes She Died Of Alcohol Withdrawl

So sad to think that Amy Winehouse may have died from trying to get herself better.

According to a new report from ‘The Sun,’ a source close to the Winehouse family is claiming that the family believes Winehouse died due to abstinence from alcohol.

Though her sobriety from drugs was very much publicized, Winehouse was still drinking pretty heavily, and despite doctors orders to gradually quit drinking, Winehouse decided to quit drinking cold turkey.

Winehouse died Saturday in her home at the young age of 27.  Tests are still being conducted to determine the cause of her tragic death.

The source explains, “Abstinence gave her body such a fright, they thought it was eventually the cause of her death.”

Since ‘The Sun’ printed their article, People.com has confirmed with Winehouse’s family that these beliefs are in fact true.

Such a sad situation.
