It’s probably because of the harassment lawsuit more than the fact her character is dead, but Nicolette Sheridan won’t be returning to Wysteria Lane as part of the big Desperate Housewives send off this season.
The actress is suing Housewives creator Marc Cherry in a multi-million dollar lawsuit claiming that he had slapped her when she voiced her opinion over a script.
Things seemed to have taken a turn for the good this past weekend when Cherry announced he was considering finding a way of bringing her character back for the series finale, saying:
“I don’t know how I would do that, but I have an idea for the last episode in which I want to pay homage to everyone who’s been on the show before. So, we’ll see what happens with that.”
Sheridan however, insists she’s heard nothing of this, and doesn’t see it happening.
Sheridan told The Today Show on Monday, “That’s news to me… I had an amazing time playing that character. I loved her dearly, but they killed her. She’s dead.”
Do you want to see Edie Britt back on screen, one way or another?
